Compass Coaching - Let Your Passion be Your Compass

August 31, 2009

Compass Coaching offers the services of coaching, counselling and workshops for individuals and groups to assist them to discover and live to their full potential.

The transpersonal approach at Compass Coaching adopts the philosophy that everyone has the resources within themselves to live an authentic, fulfilling life and to reach their full potential. Your inner compass always points you to your right direction. Your passion leads you to your true North.

With the conditioning of society and the fast paced world today, some have forgotten the ability to draw upon these resources. The inner compass is swinging and swaying without a chance to settle to find its true North.

At Compass Coaching, we facilitate and support individuals through their journey of self exploration, to tap into their inner resources and discover their personal meaning and purpose in life, thereby reaching their full potential. It’s about settling your inner compass so it is able to do its inherent job

It’s a journey for those who are willing to take responsibility for their own healing and growth

We work with all aspects of an individual – the conscious, unconscious, collective unconscious, cultural, social, environmental, energetic, psychological and spiritual.

We believe in the harmony of mind, body, emotion, energy and spirit for successful self exploration, for the settling of the inner compass. We encourage the growth and nurture each of these parts by:

- adopting appropriate daily practice such as meditation, exercise, writing, etc.

- being conscious of emotions, their triggers and the impact on mind and body

- and by living authentically.

A range of workshops at Compass Coaching are designed to complement the coaching and counselling sessions and promote harmonisation of the mind, body, emotion, energy and spirit.

Meditation

August 31, 2009

Regular meditation practice helps increase self awareness and improves clarity of mind.

It is suitable for people who want to seek greater awareness for self development and people who want to be more centered and have better clarity to handle their busy active lives.

Most people find it difficult to be disciplined enough to schedule time to do the meditation that they need on their own. Coming to a regular group ensures that regularity and helps instill the habit. Meditation in a group also allows you to experience the special group energy that may not be attained when you meditate on your own.

The meditation group at Compass Coaching is suitable for beginners. You will be guided and all you need to do is relax and enjoy the moments of stillness.

Five Element (Wu Xing) Qi Gong

August 31, 2009

Five Element Qi Gong

The benefits of Qi Gong are far reaching. When practiced regularly and appropriately, it improves your physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual health. It is a form of active meditation that synchronizes movement with breath.

There are many forms of Qi Gong. The Five Element (Wu Xing) Qi Gong is developed by Master Liu De Ming of Zi Ran Men Kung Fu Academy. The philosophy of Five Element Qi Gong is about living harmoniously with nature. We’re all creatures of nature and subject to its law. If we live in harmony with nature, we can have a healthy and peaceful life.

In Taoism, it is believed that the universe contains five fundamental elements – Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth. Each gives rise to another, thereby creating the circle of life. They are associated with the four seasons in nature.

The five elements also correspond to the main organs and meridians of the body – Lung, Kidney, Liver, Fire, Heart and Spleen. Five Element Qi Gong aims to harmonize and balance these five organs and meridians and promote overall health.

It is a simple and easy to learn form of Qi Gong which allows you to practice on your own after the 6 weeks course. It is suitable for beginners with all level of fitness and for ages 18 and above.

Counselling

August 31, 2009

At Compass Coaching, counselling is about facilitating individuals in their healing and growth.

For some, counselling is centered around gaining greater self awareness and accessing their inner resources to help them through a difficult period or a challenge, for others it’s about finding their personal meaning and purpose in life and their path to self actualization.

We facilitate you in your search for your own answers, by tapping into your potential. We provide a safe space for self exploration, expression and discovery with a view to finding self empowering ways to handle life challenges and reach your full potential.

It is a partnership. Together, we travel through your internal landscape. You are in control of your own journey and destination; we assist by holding up your compass while you navigate through the terrain of life.

When can people use counseling?

- When they are feeling sad or depressed or overwhelmed
- When they are facing a problem in their life or at cross roads – work or personal, wanting clarity
- When they are going through life transition and crisis, wanting support from an impartial person        who would have their well being as the focal point, wanting a deeper understanding of themselves    and their life situation
- When they are seeking deeper meaning and purpose of their life
- When they are ready to heal and grow

Coaching

Coaching

At Compass Coaching, coaching is about facilitating change for the better.

At Compass Coaching, we help individuals move from where they are, to where they want to be. And if they don’t know where they want to be, coaching helps them gain clarity. In practical terms, we help them set goals, strategies and action plans, and achieve them.

Just like a sports coach, we keep you on track by holding you accountable and keeping you focused in a regular and supportive way. In this way, you can be the best you want to be.

We encourage everyone to live proactively instead of reactively - to find you own answers and make you own decisions. Along the way we pull you up and cheer you on too!

Who uses coaching?

Life coaching or transpersonal coaching can help anyone who wants change in their life. Some people know exactly what change they want but don’t know how to make it happen. Others feel discontent, stagnant or stuck and need help to move forward. Others may feel overwhelmed by an important decision in their career, relationship or family life. The common thread is that they are ready to change and they just want some support in making it happen.

When can people use coaching?

- When they are deciding on career change, going for a new job
- When they need clarity in one or more parts of their lives
- When they want to improve their life condition – work, personal, emotional, psychological, financial - When they are at cross roads, going through life transition or crisis
- Most of all when they want support from an impartial person who would have their wellbeing (the      client’s) as the focal point
