Five Element (Wu Xing) Qi Gong

The benefits of Qi Gong are far reaching. When practiced regularly and appropriately, it improves your physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual health. It is a form of active meditation that synchronizes movement with breath.
There are many forms of Qi Gong. The Five Element (Wu Xing) Qi Gong is developed by Master Liu De Ming of Zi Ran Men Kung Fu Academy. The philosophy of Five Element Qi Gong is about living harmoniously with nature.
We’re all creatures of nature and subject to its law. If we live in harmony with nature, we can have a healthy and peaceful life.
In Taoism, it is believed that the universe contains five fundamental elements – Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth. Each gives rise to another, thereby creating the cycle of life. They are associated with the four seasons in nature.
The five elements also correspond to the main organs and meridians of the body – Lung, Kidney, Liver, Fire, Heart and Spleen. Five Element Qi Gong aims to harmonize and balance these five organs and meridians and promote overall health.
It is a simple and easy to learn form of Qi Gong which allows you to practice on your own after the 6 weeks course. It is suitable for beginn fitness and for ers with all level ofages 18 and above.

Good day,
I am writing because I have been practicing this Qigong for about two months now and have felt a significant increase in my overall health. I was very ill for four months and could not walk for the first month. And had very little capabilities for the remaining three. I started with this exercise because of the easy to follow movements and awesome music. Since then I have begun a two a day regimen morning and night. I find myself calmer and more open to lifes energy. I am curious if there is any information that would explain each movements purpose. As I live in Alaska and cannot attend the classes, I feel that any related education that is available would compliment the exercises natural healing abilities. Thank you for your very awesome Qigong. Its much appreciated.
Hi Jason. Thank you for your feed back. It’s heart warming to hear your story and know that the practise has helped you in your healing journey. Congratulations on your proactiveness and resilience. It is so important to practise regularly for Qi Gong to work. Keep it up! Sorry for my slow reply. I’ve been on a sabbatical and travelling. I have now included a DVD that you can buy on my web page. http://www.compasscoaching.com.au/category/services-workshops/qi-gong

Sherry
Hi Sherry,
Yes, it demonstrates the meridian and Qi flow linked to each element and takes you through each element/meridian step by step. In addition, there’s a bonus Tai Chi sequence on the DVD too. You’ll enjoy it! If you need any other information, do email me at abby@compasscoaching.com.au
Comments: I have been studying tai chi / qi gong for ten years. My teacher is currently teaching the Wu Xing Qi Gong (Five Element Qi Gong)as seen in the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-EA86oKkPs. Master Liu De Ming does a beautiful presentation of the form. The video is very helpful to me in learning the form.
I have a couple of questions:
1. What are the names in English of the 9 parts of the form?
2. Is there a written description of the 9 parts anywhere?
3. If the form is called 5 Element Qi Gong in English, why are there 9 parts.
I have seen other 5 Element Qi Gong forms that have 5 parts.
Any info about the above would be appreciated.

Thanks for appreciating the video, Arthur. I’ve sent answers via email.
This Qi-Gong is quite easy for beginners and very powerful.
Thanks for Liu de Ming’s video. It’s a so beautiful moment.
I have the same question than Arthur in USA:
1. What are the names in English of the 9 parts of the form?
2. Is there a written description of the 9 parts anywhere?
3. If the form is called 5 Element Qi Gong in English, why are there 9 parts.
and why can we found qi-gong of the 5 animals with the same name in chinese?
Thanks a lot for the answer.
I’m french and i hope my english is understandable.
